What We Do

Our members are teachers and special service providers whose mission is to create great public schools for every child in the district. Whether it’s through lobbying in Denver for school funding or secure retirement plans, bargaining for competitive, industry-leading salaries,  pushing for fair and transparent evaluations, ensuring better working conditions in schools and classrooms, providing legal aid and expertise when necessary, or providing access to meaningful training and professional development, our goal is to provide our schools and educators the tools and support they need to help every Cherry Creek student succeed.

When you belong to the Cherry Creek Education Association, you get representation at the local, state, and national levels. Your interests as an educator are being heard by the right people in the right places.

  • CCEA negotiates your contracts and makes sure your employee rights are upheld. We are committed to making sure educator voices are heard and help shape a school system that meets the needs of all students by supporting all educators.
  • CEA provides lawyers, lobbyists, communications, and other specialists to support the needs of members and local associations.
  • NEA advocates for school funding and reforms in federal law and aids state associations, such as CEA, through organizing, legislative, and financial support.

I’m passionate about being a part of CCEA because I believe in advocating for both educators and students. Over the years, I’ve seen the challenges teachers face, and I’m committed to making sure their voices are heard and their needs are met. I take pride in fighting for fair compensation, better working conditions, and the respect our educators deserve. Serving as Vice President of CCEA is a great honor that allows me to make a difference, not only for today’s teachers but for the next generation of educators coming into this great profession.

Feeder Area Boundaries

CCEA uses the boundaries of the six high school feeder areas to organize the structure of our Executive Board Area Directors. Each feeder area is covered by two Area Directors, ideally from different levels/schools, who support the building Association Representatives (ARs) within their feeder areas. Together, the twelve (12) area directors and four (4) officers are elected to serve on our CCEA Executive Board.
